Benefits

KCA seeks to promote a climate that enhances professional growth and facilitates effective group action. KCA provides a forum for productive interaction between and among those who apply communication knowledge, those who create communication knowledge, and those who study and teach communication. In addition, KCA provides support services for those seeking discipline-related employment and increases the awareness of the field of communication in the general population. KCA also provides leaders of local and state government with information relating to the field of communication. Finally, KCA provides opportunities for award recognition, as well as communication education, communication training and/or communication services for interested persons, groups, and/or organizations.

Members of KCA are eligible for a discounted registration rate to our annual conference each September. In addition, members will receive special access to electronic versions of our journal, which is published twice a year.

AWARDS

KCA takes nominations for awards beginning January 1 each year. Awards are given at the annual conference. A committee comprised of board members such as the KCA President and/or Immediate Past President makes award selections.
